co.lab, the leading coworking in Aruba
I’m a coworking freak, there.. I said it!
Even when I’m on vacations I love visiting collaborative spaces… I think if you get to know how people works, you receive a lot of information about the place you are visiting.
I spent my last vacations in beautiful and sunny Aruba… and of course, I didn’t want to miss the chance to visit co.lab, the leading coworking in Aruba.
Tristan Every -one of the three founders- welcomed and explained us a little bit more about co.lab. Everything started a couple of years ago when he came back from Holland, and he felt the need of creating a community of entrepreneurs, startups, creative and techies, based in 3 values:
- Co-sharing: Sharing of ideas, knowledge and experiences.
- Co-creating: Creating a new service or project among the people.
- Collaboration: cooperation together to achieve the community goals.
Before having a space, they knew that they had to build the community first. So, on May 2014 they started to organize several events, brainstorm sessions, discussion groups, happy hours to create awareness… until October 2015, when they opened their physical space.
co.lab is a very nice and cozy space, pretty well located -5 minutes by car from downtown and from the airport-. It has an open space suitable for events, where they host meetups, art expositions, workshops and lectures of co.lab academy, among other events.
Working at co.lab increases the motivation and communication among its members. Business people, freelancers, entrepreneurs and startups can share their ideas and collaborate, to successfully fulfill their goals by holding each other’s hands.
This innovative way of working have opened a big opportunity for the entrepreneurial community of Aruba, turning it into the leading one when it comes to the startup ecosystem of the caribbean.
If you ever go there, don’t miss the chance to visit and work in co.lab, the 1st Coworking in Aruba 🙂
